- Introduction
to NDT -The
fundamentals and application of the five major NDT disciplines (UT,RT,ET,MT,
and PT).
- Basic
Metallurgy for NDT - Covers the various metal properties and
how they can affect the performance of NDT.
- Magnetic
Particle Liquid Penetrant - Focuses on all areas of both wet
and dry Magnetic Particle Inspection and Fluorescent and Visible
Liquid Penetrant Inspection.
- Radiography
Level I - The principles and theory of radiography and practical
aspects of setting up equipment for making radiographs. Covers basic
procedures, film processing & radiation safety.
- Radiography
Level II - Covers the radiographic requirements of ASME, AWS,
and API codes and various military and commercial specifications
in-depth. Also covers NRC regulations and radiation safety.
- Radiographic
Film-Interpretation - This course covers all areas of radiographic
inspection and is beneficial to radiographic personnel and those
with positions indirectly related to radiographic inspection, such
as engineers, welders and QA/QC surveillance personnel.
- Radiation
Safety - Covers the principles and practices of radiation safety,
the handling of Gamma Ray Radiographic equipment and CFR Title 10,
parts 19, 20, 30 and 34.
- Ultrasonic
Level I - Acquaints students with theory and principles of sound
wave generation and the operation of Ultrasonic test equipment.
Methods of instrument standardization and simple flaw detection
are taught in lab sessions.
- Ultrasonic
Level II - Students learn calibration and inspection procedures
and interpretation of test data in lab sessions. Emphasizes the
Ultrasonic test codes of the ASME and AWS.
- Ultrasonic
Weld Inspection - For those with Level I competency, whose responsibilities
range from calibrating equipment, performing or monitoring tests,
interpreting test data to supervising ultrasonic technicians.
- Immersion
Ultrasonics - Emphasizes the various apparatus and techniques
of immersion testing. Also covers offset determinations, water path
and focusing distances. Snells Law and testing applications. Prior
Level I knowledge and/or certification is recommended.
- AWS
Visual Weld Examination - Provides students with a basic knowledge
of welding techniques, terminology and practices for the non-welder.
- Eddy
Current Level I - Acquaints students with the principles and
theory of Eddy Current generation and operation of basic equipment.
Teaches methods of instrument standardization and Basic Eddy Current
test methods in lab sessions.
- Eddy
Current Level II - Useful for those with a Level I knowledge
of Eddy Current inspection or whose responsibilities include calibrating
equipment, performing or monitoring tests, interpreting test data
or supervising Eddy Current Technicians. The interpretation and
analysis of test data is emphasized.
- NDT
Level III Basic Review for Basic Examination - Prepares qualified
individuals desiring Level III certification with preparation for
the examination. Covers SNT-TC-IA, manufacturing materials and material
discontinuities, and reviews the major NDT methods.
- Level
III - examinations for employer certification may be taken with
the course or independently.
